The pictures above were taken after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico. For those of you who do not know, Puerto Ricans are United States citizens. If you do not believe me look it up. THEY ARE U.S. citizens. I keep repeating this because on September 20, 2017 making it one of the worst hurricane to hit the island and yet the Island is still recovering months later with little help from the United States including Donald Trump. He was reluctant when it came to helping Puerto Rico and did not react the same as the hurricane in Texas. Why do you think that is? There was a a lot of media coverage on the hurricane in Texas than the hurricane in Puerto Rico. When the media covered Hurricane Maria they were more concerned about how the hurricane was going to impact Florida and some southern states. The mayor of San Juan spoke for the people Puerto Rico. She stated "We are dying, and you are killing us with the inefficiency and the bureaucracy. This is what we got last night: four pallets of water, three pallets of meals and 12 pallets of infant food — which I gave them to the people of Comerio, where people are drinking off a creek. So I am done being polite. I am done being politically correct. I am mad as hell." Donald Trump responded on Twitter of course with:" The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump...Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. Theywant everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.When it leaked that this was going on in Puerto Rico, social media of course got angry and was wondering why our government was not doing more to help. This led to more people disliking the President and his administration. But then there were people still saying that Trump went above and beyond for Puerto Ricans because supposedly he sent: "140 helicopters, 28 ships, 6 Army field hospitals, 3 Navy Seabee Battalions, 5 US Army Combat Engineer Battalions, 3 Civil Affairs battalions, 2 Nuclear Submarines capable of generating 2.8 Gigawatts of Power, released 300,000 tons of food, medical supplies and water from Military stocks." This was proven to be mostly false. But the supporters did not care if the information was false. This information was somehow given to the people and then they could decide whether to fact check or believe what they heard. I looked on multiple "political affiliated" new sources and they all reported issues in Puerto Rico very similarly so there was no partisan biased like there was in social media.
